Decorex, the premier décor trade show and exhibition is here once again in Johannesburg at the Gallagher Convention Centre between 5-9 August. They have a exciting new line up for you and provide awesome incentives for you to attend. Visitors to the Decorex event can make use of the Gautrain to get to the Gallagher Convention Centre or get your first ride free with Uber for up to R150, all you have to do is sign up using the ‘DECOREX JHB’ code. According to Business Essentials Decorex is, “the only business-to-business furniture and design trade show on the continent.” The event showcases the finest décor and design. This year’s theme, “Take it Home, Make it Home” according to their website, “taps into the very latest global design and décor trends, among these, a fresh focus on the quality, detail, layering and timelessness of the “Considered Home”. Which, according to Decorex is defined as a home that trumps style over clutter and is only allowed the bear, yet humble essentials. Decorex in association with Goodwood Co. will show homemakers how to achieve this aesthetic.

If you’re in the market for a kitchen redesign then be sure to check out the Franke Kitchen Design Project, According to interior designer, Marcia Margolius, Franke South Africa is a “globally renowned kitchens-systems supplier,” with over 100 years of expertise in culinary industry. Visit the new Trend Pods showcase
Hosted by two leading Joburg decorating experts, Elisha Annadale of Décor Identity and Karen Richards of K Interiors. The pair will show you how to elegantly decorate in the African style. African décor has been reserved for high-end hotels and game lodges for some time now, but it’s gaining popularity in our homes. This year’s Decorex runs over the Women’s Day weekend between 5-9 August. Please note that 5 August and 8 August are trade-focused days.
Show dates: 5 August; 1pm-6pm, 6-9 August; 10 am – 6pm (daily).
Ticket prices: adults R110, students or pensioners R90, kids (under 12) R20 and for the trade focused days, you can register online (there will be a charge of R80 for onsite registration). Get your tickets here, or at the door on the day of your visit.
