We’ve had an influx of questions coming in lately where clients have sought further clarification on what we do and what we offer. We thought we’d share these questions and answers with you, so you aren’t left in the dark when it comes to understanding who we are.
Q: How does the process work?
A:
- We first need to take accurate on site measurements to supply you with a formal quotation. We will also have a design consultation to discuss your required design choice
- Once the quotation has been accepted and proof of payment has been received, the design representation can be prepared and sent for your approval
- When the design has been approved, the application can be scheduled for between 4 – 7 working days.
Q: Can I use my own design?
A:
Yes you can, however, the required window decals design should be supplied in a high quality PDF or Vector line drawing format. Should you not provide your design in good quality, there will be an additional design charge for the amount of R350 per hour to be added to the quotation. This applies to home and business use of our window decals. Please note custom designs take up to 2 working days to be ready.
Q: Can I choose any colour?
A:
We specialise in standard grey vinyl colour similar to the sandblasting colour. We can do full color print on vinyl, but this will be an added expense.
Q: Can window decals be applied inside bathrooms?
A:
Yes our window decals are waterproof and will not peel off because of the water. The vinyl is applied on the outside of the shower door and on the inside, this is to avoid soap stains. Our vinyl has also been applied on water features such as fountains.
Q: Where is your office situated and can I have a look at your showroom?
A:
We are based in Pretoria East in Gauteng and Table View in Cape Town. Unfortunately, Window Art doesn’t have a showroom or receive customers at the office, as all our designs are custom-made to fit according to your existing doors and windows specifications. All our Window Art designs are available to view on our Website and you can also download our full PDF catalogue.
Q: Can I apply the window decals myself?
A:
We strongly suggest against doing this because our product is not for “DIY” purposes. We prefer doing the application using our specialised and highly trained teams. If you like, we can book a free onsite quotation to help with the measurements and consultation on your design options.
Q: Can I supply you with the measurements and you come and install my window decals?
A:
We can use the measurements as supplied by you and only come out to do the installation. There will be no extra cost, however Window Art cannot be held responsible or accountable should the material not fit the glass surface. Window Art requires full payment upfront.
Q: Can you give me a price estimate on a standard door?
A:
Unfortunately, there is no standard door manufactured, as all doors are custom-made and all frame sizes vary. Supply us with the width and height in mm so that we can provide you with an estimated quotation, by using our pricing calculator. Then we will need to visit the property to take accurate measurements before application can commence.
Q: I live in Kwazulu Natal/Nelspruit (or other areas) can you still apply the vinyl for me?
A:
Window Art unfortunately doesn’t service in these areas, we can however supply you with the material in the mail which can then be applied by one of your local signage companies. You can send through the dimensions of the glass area that you would like covered in order of width and height in mm and the full postal address so that we can provide you with a quotation. If the required design should run across multiple panes, kindly confirm the gap and frame sizes in between as per the illustration. If the quotation is above R50 000, special arrangements will be made to do the application.
