Four things to look out for at this year’s Homemakers Expo in Cape Town | WindowArt

The Cape Town Homemakers Expo is just around the corner and it is set to be an eye-opening, jaw-dropping event. The event expects a whopping 36 400 trade and consumer visitors through its doors over the four days – all looking to soak up the latest and most inspiring ideas in home improvement, design, décor and lifestyle.

Homemakers Expo will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from the 4th to the 7th September 2014 and will boast some impressive feature areas. Here are four that we think are going to be stellar:

1. D’Vine Life – the Cape’s very best offering of succulent treats

This feature area is a popular one at Homemakers Expo as it is filled with only the very best in mouth-watering foods and snacks. It is here that you will find the finest boutique wines from the Cape region as well as tantalising cheeses and tapenades. There will be a wide selection of gourmet delicacies to suite anybody’s taste palate.

2. An Artisan Affair – local designers aplenty

Homemakers Expo encourages the support of our local designers. This feature area showcases our local talent and boasts just how creative our up and comers are. The work on display is all local and handmade, making it truly unique. Exploring the stories of our local talent makes for a vibrant and enticing display.

3. Alfresco Living – a guide to creating magic in your backyard

We really are lucky to experience some of the best sunshine during our summer months. Homemakers Expo has recognised that the outdoor area of your home can be just as important as the interior. This feature area is dedicated to inspiring you to create outdoor spaces that are très chic. Whether you are concerned with ideas for alfresco dining, herb gardens or stylising your pool, this feature area has got it covered.

4. Home (Tuis) magazine house – meet up with the professionals for some advice and inspiration

Home magazine is going big this year at Homemakers Expo Cape Town. When we say big, we mean as big as a house – literally. The magazine has partnered up with Builders Warehouse and has built a two-storey timber house, which they have decorated to the nines. Their professional team will be on hand to take you on a guided tour and share their style secrets with you.

Visit the Window Art exhibition stand if you want to refresh your summer style.

We will be proudly exhibiting our wares at the Homemakers Expo in Cape Town this coming month. Don’t forget to pay us a visit to chat about your window treatment, natural light or style update needs or to just say hi – we look forward to meeting our readers, followers and clients. We will be showcasing some of our best installations and designs.

The Expo’s opening times are from 10h00 to 22h00, Thursday through to Saturday. On Sunday the doors close at 18h00. Adult tickets are R70, pensioners pay R50 and children under twelve may enter for free. For more information please email expocape@homemakers-sa.co.za or call 021 511 2800.
