Here’s why you should visit this year’s Homemakers Expo | WindowArt

Whether you’re looking for inspiration for your upcoming home renovations, after a little something to spice up your existing décor or if you simply appreciate beautiful design and innovative products, don’t miss this year’s Homemakers Expo in Gauteng.

The theme of this year’s Homemakers Expo is ‘bold, bright and individual’ – so expect to be wowed by an array of uniquely beautiful and colourful home-related products.

Running from 27th February to 2nd March at the Coca-Cola Dome, Northriding, the Homemakers Expo will see 350 exhibitors sharing new ideas and fresh perspectives on everything from bathroom design and décor to the newest trends in funky outdoor furniture.

As one of the 50 000 visitors attending the Homemakers Expo this year, you’ll be treated to informative displays from both exhibitors’ stands and interactive ‘theatres’.

Don’t miss the Builders DIY Theatre.

The ever-popular Builders DIY Theatre will again be a main feature of this year’s event. If you’re planning home renovations or would like to pick up some handy DIY tips, this interactive ‘theatre’ is a goldmine of DIY ideas, solutions and methods. You’ll even have the opportunity to pick the brains of DIY gurus Aidan Bennetts (Top Billing), Andrew Donkin (SABC 3 Expresso Morning Show) and green fingered garden goddess Tanya Visser.

Enjoy the inspired creations of South Africa’s talented young designers.

The Homemakers Expo is also an opportunity for the country’s budding young designers to show off their debut designs. The Young Designers Come to Light feature at this year’s event will showcase the work of students of the Design School of Southern Africa. This year, the students will present lighting designs inspired by the ‘bold, bright and individual’ theme. Out of the 15 gorgeous lighting designs on display, judges will award the top three with a cash prize of R10 000.

Young designers rethink junk at this year’s Homemakers Expo.

Innovative recycling ideas take the spotlight at the Repurpose[d] exhibition, featuring repurposed and up-cycled items brought to life by students of UJ’s Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture. Repurposing items for home décor isn’t just trendy – it’s thrifty and eco-friendly too.

Visit the WindowArt stand to check out stunning frosted vinyl designs, chat to an expert or request a quote.

The WindowArt stand will have a range of top quality frosted window vinyl products and designs on display. Frosted window vinyl is not only a safer and more versatile alternative to traditional glass sandblasting, it’s also an opportunity for homemakers to express their creativity and to transform glass surfaces into works of art through the application of unique and attractive frosted vinyl decals.

Visiting the WindowArt stand at the Gauteng Homemakers Expo is an ideal opportunity to discuss your décor and renovation ideas with a window vinyl expert. You can find WindowArt at Stand J 29 in the Main Arena. See you there!
