Job of the week: window treatments for kitchen cabinets | WindowArt

This week’s particular installation is a project we completed for a high-end catering company. This kitchen area – shown in the image above – is referred to as the catering company’s test kitchen. It is here that they meet many of their clients for a sampling of the proposed food and drinks. The window treatment that you can see on the kitchen cabinets surrounding the fridge is a simple frosted window vinyl decal.

This window treatment allows for some corporate branding in the test kitchen.

These particular kitchen cabinets frame the fridge in the client meeting area and store the glasses used to serve the clients their beverages. The catering company’s branded colour is a deep red and their serving glasses are wine goblets that are a deep red. The colour of the glasses shows through this particular window treatment design, which allows for a touch of corporate branding in this space.

The client wanted less exposed kitchen cabinets and a design that could be used throughout the area.

The window treatments used on the glass cabinets are mimicked throughout the rest of the kitchen and the seated bar area. As this client often shows their clients the rest of the kitchen area during the meeting, they wanted a design that could easily be continued throughout the space.

The client wanted the kitchen cabinets throughout the whole area to create some privacy so that when everything is cleaned and packed away the space looks neat and tidy.

Sophisticated interior design and décor that can easily be removed are a huge plus for this company as their premises is rented.

The catering company sees many clients through its doors. As such, they strive to create a sophisticated and professional environment. However, they do not own the building, so the interior design and décor elements that they have incorporated are all easily removed. Frosted vinyl window treatments are removable, making them ideal for this company.

On the other hand, the client was certainly not interested in moving from these premises any time soon and wanted a window treatment that would last a lifetime if necessary. This client was happy to hear that our vinyl decal window treatments come with a ten-year guarantee.
