Homemakers Expo is back on the 26th February 2015 and Window Art will be there. Will you? If checking out the latest and greatest in home and lifestyle design trends tickles your fancy then this year’s Homemakers Expo will be a treat.

Homemakers Expo is celebrating 22 years of bringing the latest home décor trends to homemakers across the country.

You can expect to experience the best of the best in interior décor and design, access to renovation experts and inspiration for creating the home of your dreams. The expo will include 350 exhibitors, who are all expert in their respective fields, and a line-up of show features that will provide you with an array of trends and ideas to choose from. Every part of the home will be addressed and advice on everything from the trendiest paint colours to the best value-for-money coffee makers will be on hand.

The feature areas at this year’s Homemakers Expo will include :
  • The Builders DIY Theatre

This feature area is hosted by renowned experts in the DIY field, who will be readily offering up ideas and solutions to meet all your DIY needs, in both the home and the garden.

  • Cinema Experience

If you have ever wondered about creating a home cinema or perhaps have some questions before taking the plunge to creating this type of space in your home, then check out the Cinema Experience at this year’s expo. This is a brand new feature that Homemakers Expo has on offer and it will showcase two different styles of home theatre settings. These are namely the Classic Home Theatre and the Contempo Home Theatre.

  • Décor & Furniture Avenue

The Décor & Furniture Avenue is situated on the upper levels of the exhibition and showcases the most inspiring home décor trends that will evoke the inner interior designer in just about anyone. This feature space is filled with custom-designed furniture and an exquisite art collection. Don’t leave this area until you have visited the deli, at the end of the avenue, to delight your taste buds.

  • Barista championships

SCASA (Speciality Coffee Association of Southern Africa) will be hosting the ever-popular Gauteng Barista Championships at the Coffee Lovers Theatre. The very best baristas and coffee aficionados will be on hand to entertain and inform visitors.

  • Flip that fan

This is a competition and a showcase of designs by the University of Johannesburg Industrial Design students. This year there will be an exciting and fun display of fans to blow your mind. The Homemakers Expo has decided to support these young designers by sponsoring R10 000 towards the top three designers who take part in this project. The project media partner is Conde Nast House & Garden magazine and more information can be found in the latest edition of the magazine.
